With summer vacation right around the corner a lot of parents are tying to come up with activities to occupy their children. "The Jumbo Book of Easy Crafts" by Judy Ann Sadler is a great book for moms to have on hand. It is just what the title says it is, a jumbo book full of crafts for your children.

The book contains over 175 different crafts for children to do most of which require only items that have in your home already. The main item you will need to complete the craft titles each chapter. For instance there is a section on egg cartons where there are instructions on how to make an egg carton caterpillar, egg carton raccoon, ladybug, egg cup chick, egg cup piggy nose, and blossoms.

Other sections in the book include: aluminum Foil, cardboard tubes, cookie cutters, leaves and flowers, lunch bags, film canisters, pasta, and popsicle sticks and many more.

There are tons of activities and crafts in this book that can remember doing when I was a young child. There are activities in the book for everything from a pressed flower placemat to a pair of tin can stilts, so every child should be able to find something that they would be interested in creating within the book. With over 175 crafts to choose from it will take months for your child to make it through all of the crafts in the book. Kids will love the opportunity to create a fun craft, and moms will love the opportunity to take a break.

The book is written in large print, in easy to read language so you could leave a younger child with the directions and materials and allow them to create the craft on their own. After going through this book there are a lot on crafts in here I would personally be interested in doing, so you may want to join in the fun with your child and create some crafts of your own.

This is the perfect book to have on hand for summer months when children are out of school, or even for during the school year when your child wants to be creative.
