Interview with Bobby Mercer - Part Twoby Lauri Griffin | More from this Blogger 10 Jun 2008 12:50 PM On Sunday, we visited with Bobby Mercer, author of Quarterback Dad. Today, Bobby joins us again with ideas for celebrating Father's Day. One laugh out loud moment for me in the QB Dad book was that you wanted a football party for your daughter's first birthday. Did you really buy supplies? Sure did, I have one entire kitchen cabinet full of football party trays, plates, cups, snack bowls, etc. That makes it easy for me to host the Super Bowl party every year. How are you celebrating Father's Day? and/or Do you have good ideas for celebrating Father's Day? We are taking a trip down to my in-laws house. I get along great with my in-laws, so we are going to have as many relatives as possible over for a fun day. Father's day should be all about family. Have fun with your kids. A few possible ideas are: go to the park, have a picnic, go to the pool or lake, play kickball, eat watermelon, fly a kite, play a board game, or just turn off all the electronic devices in your house and talk. You don't have to spend much money, just share the day. What are your future projects? My current project is a blend of humor and science for guys. It will contain all the essential science questions that every guy needs to know, like do pigs have spare ribs and can eating beans save the planet. It is still untitled and will be out in May 09. After that, I will probably do a Quarterback Dad book for toddlers. And I also have some ideas for another kids' science activity book. Best of luck with your projects, Bobby. Thanks for visiting with us, and Happy Father's Day! Also See: Interview with Bobby Mercer - Part One Quarterback Dad - Bobby Mercer Smash It! Crash It!
