More Elliot Books by Andrea Beck

I can’t help it – I fell in love with Elliot while blogging about him last year, and when I found these other Elliot books, I just had to snatch them up. He’s just the cutest little stuffed moose! In “Elliot Bakes a Cake,” we find Elliot getting ready to bake a cake for Lionel the stuffed lion’s birthday. All the other toys want to help out too, but there’s just one problem! None of them have ever baked a cake before, and they aren’t even sure what some of the cooking terms mean. Finally they get their batter put … Continue reading

Jennifer Jones Won’t Leave Me Alone – Frieda Wishinsky

Ah, unrequited love! The stuff of which songs, movies, plays, and now children’s picture books are made of! He’s completely embarrassed but she won’t cut it out. He starts to fantasize. What if Jennifer moved to the … Continue reading

(I like to remind myself that Miss Mason lived in England, rather than in the frigid American Midwest, and that even she would nod in … Continue reading

As we see more and more websites being developed specifically for babies, toddlers, and preschoolers, parents have a greater responsibility of looking into each site to ensure they are safe and age-appropriate. The good news is that the majority of online websites geared toward children are extremely beneficial, teaching a child everything from counting to coloring to dancing to singing. Through online games, children can learn, thus getting a head start when it comes time to start school. As you can imagine, children’s websites are quite controversial. On one hand, you have individuals who strongly believe that children should be … Continue reading
