It used to be that Sesame Street was the most beloved children's television show of all time. It's certainly still up there in the ratings, but of all the shows that have come around more recently, Blue's Clues is giving the old classic a run for its money in the popularity department.

"Fetch! with Ruff Ruffman" is one of my children's favorite shows, and it's one I certainly don't mind letting them watch. It's a game show and a reality show wrapped up in one, but it's educational, too, and I really like that.

This richly illustrated picture book called my name as soon as I saw it on the shelf. It must have had something to do with the extremely cute wombat face on the cover. Wombat loves to dig really deep holes, climb inside, and think.
