One of the latest and greatest technological advances for children is the podcast. However, just as with television, CDs, or movies, parents need to be conscientious about the things the children hear. While many podcasts are excellent for children of all ages, unfortunately, you will also find some material that sits on the fence of acceptable versus unacceptable.

The truth is that if you want educational or entertaining podcasts for your children, you have some excellent choices. In fact, you might even create some podcasts for your children. To find the best podcasts for the children, those that are rated "kid friendly", I suggest you check out the availability from some of the more reputable sites where you can conveniently download all types of music for the kids to enjoy. This way, you also have control over what they are listening to so you know it is okay.

One of the main things to consider when looking around for children's podcasts is that many websites mix both adult and children's selections together. Unfortunately, this means that sometimes, kids will download inappropriate music based on title alone. Therefore, even if your children are older, you should find a site that has a special page based on age or be there to guide your children to music they can or cannot download.

Another great aspect of podcasts is that you can create a list of songs that your children can enjoy and music that you know is fine. This way, there is no second-guessing about the influences in your child's life. After all, kids have a hard enough time as it is trying to walk a straight line although many media influences have a negative impact. With podcasts being so affordable and convenient, along with the ability for mobility, it is easy to see why sales are skyrocketing.
