The Barkathon

Last night was a baaaaaaaad night. The dogs barked me awake at 12:10. Again at 12:30. At 1:00. At that point, I got up to let them out, thinking they really had to go. But alas, the barkathon began anew at 4:50. And 6:00. And 6:20. And so on. Why all the barking? As far as I could tell, someone in the complex was having a party. Nora’s Room – Jessica Harper

Nora’s room is a frightening place. It has “keep out” signs plastered all over the door, and the strangest noises keep coming from inside it, making Nora’s mother say, “Something is going on in Nora’s room.” Even though she’s busy in the kitchen and watching the twins, she decides she’d better go investigate, even though something tells her she’s not going to like what she sees. Valentine’s Day is drawing ever closer, and to prepare, I thought I would share this cute picture book with you. “Porcupining” is the story of a lonely porcupine named Cushion.
