The newest season of “American Idol” kicked off with last year’s judges Steven Tyler and Jennifer Lopez being replaced with the feuding Mariah Carey and Nicki Minaj. It has been almost a week since Kris Allen was crowned the latest winner of “American Idol,” but so far, the majority of the news seems to be about the runner-up Adam Lambert. Clay Aiken had some not so nice things to say about the second place finisher in his blog, which only paying members can access. Kris Allen snuck into the final thirteen of “American Idol.” I don’t remember seeing his original audition or much, if any, of him during the famed Hollywood week. Former “American Idol” Contestant Found Dead Outside of Paula Abdul’s Home

In what’s being categorized as a “sad incident” by law enforcement officers, the body of a former “American Idol” contestant was found dead in a car near Paula Abdul’s Los Angeles home. According to news reports, 30-year-old Paula Goodspeed overdosed on drugs shortly after she parked her vehicle on a street outside of Abdul’s house Tuesday night. The Season 5 contestant was said to have been infatuated with the “American Idol” judge.
